Whitey that's the second batch. People seem happy with them. I had my eyes on one but the $600 price got lost in translation and overclockers added their limited stock tax. Made them £720. Bonkers!

Got a 1080p 144hz and its brilliant in games and I don't need £800 of gfx cards to use it.

That's even less yonks away then

Totally agree on price. I thought the days of changing $ to £ had gone but looks like it's still the case for this monitor....

I just thought I'd mention it.

The 24" is a bit more sensible at £350, I imagine the prices will drop quite rapidly if the technology takes off.

There's also freesync somewhere in the pipeline for AMD users

The 16:10 size is better imo because it is an easier on the eye proportion to look at. Of you user the monitor for anything it simply didn't look as squashed as a 16:9.

As for games having problems with 16:10? I've gamed on that ratio for the last 9 years and not had a problem yet so I'm not sure what problems are being referred to?

Letter boxing is the problem. I love 16:10s, had one for ages and had to finally change it for a 16:9 because the front panel went fubar. Anyway, I had to fix a considerable number of games by using widescreen fixer, and some games were so headstrong that no amount of meddling about managed to remove the letter boxing on the sides.

Any specific games caused an issue? I'll be honest and say that I can't recall a single game that did not allow me to play in a 16:10 aspect ratio (ie no letterbox). You have probably player a wider variety of games then me though!

Although I can't think of any off the top of my head TL (as I have a 16:9 monitor so haven't ever seen 16:10 problems), it will be the console ports that have issues with 16:10. Think Ubisoft games, the Ass creeds etc. Anything that is designed for console first and PC second, basically.
